Experience
Michele serves as Senior Counsel at the firm and practices in the areas of estate and trust planning, asset protection planning, special needs planning, long term care planning, and estate and trust administration. Michele has been practicing in the area of estates and trusts for over twenty years, and brings a diverse background to the firm as she has represented a wide array of clients ranging from young, growing families to entrepreneurs on the Fortune 100 list.
Michele has the highest rating available on both Martindale Hubbell and AVVO, and prides herself in growing her practice by mostly word of mouth referrals. Michele strives to have long term, trusting relationships with her clients and is often described as patient, approachable and friendly.
Prior to joining BMBF, Michele was a partner at a well-respected Wilmington law firm which focuses solely on estate planning and estate litigation, where she grew her long term care planning and estate planning practice. She also worked as Trust Counsel at a long established boutique trust company in Wilmington, where she advised the Trust company on fiduciary matters related to the administration of Delaware Trusts.
Michele is a Delaware native and graduated in 2001 from University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She then attended Villanova University School of Law and graduated in 2004. Michele is licensed in Delaware and practices in New Castle County, Kent County and Sussex County. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Delaware CarePlan and a member of the editorial advisory committee of the Delaware Bar Journal.
In her free time, Michele loves spending days at the beach with her husband and two children. She also enjoys reading fiction, writing, and trying her hand at tennis.
