Thomas Barnett is an associate in the Business Law and Litigation departments. He represents businesses at all stages to achieve favorable outcomes whether it is formation, litigation, restructuring, or dissolution.
Tommy represents clients in a variety of mass tort, class action and civil matters nationally. He is currently representing Marines, veterans, and other individuals that were harmed as a result of exposure to dangerous chemicals at the United States Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, among several other ground water contamination cases. Tommy was part of the team that obtained a $205 Million class action settlement in Millsboro, Delaware for property damages and personal injuries related to air and groundwater contamination claims. Tommy also has international experience, with fluency in German.
As a Delaware native, Tommy graduated from Salesianum High School, University of Delaware, and Delaware Law School. In law school, Tommy was a summer associate at Ashurst LLP in Frankfurt, Germany, working in the areas of securities and international transactions, speaking both English and German fluently.
Tommy came back to the firm as a summer associate before his third year of law school working in the litigation department. During his last year of law school, he externed for Judge Christopher S. Sontchi in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Tommy enjoys playing guitar, traveling, and enjoying coastal Delaware with family and friends.
