Delaware— Baird Mandalas Brockstedt & Federico, LLC, a leading law firm, with offices in all 3 counties of Delaware and in Baltimore, Maryland, is pleased to announce the promotion of Scott D. Koenig to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective May 1, 2024.
In his previous role as Firm Administrator, Koenig has demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and dedication to Baird Mandalas Brockstedt & Federico’s mission. With his extensive experience in administration and management, Koenig has been instrumental in growing the firm within Delaware and in Maryland.
As COO, Koenig will oversee the day-to-day management of the firm, working closely with the executive and administrative team to drive operational excellence, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency. He will continue to uphold Baird Mandalas Brockstedt & Federico’s commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and exceeding client expectations.

Koenig holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University and a Master of Business Administration from Delaware State University. Having served as the City Manager for the City of Dover and the Town Manager for the Town of Dewey Beach as well as other key positions, Koenig brings more than thirty (30) years of experience to his new role. Koenig is passionate about supporting the management needs of the law firm now and navigating us into the future with new technology to stay at the forefront of providing services to our clients.
